Tips For Creatives

Nowadays, with social media ruling the universe, there are a lot more creatives out there than ever before.  Everybody is making something. Your classmates from high school who clowned on you for making music, now also make music. (Albeit worse than the music you made 10 years ago) Your graphic design major cousin is complaining about AI art. Your crazy great aunt who is a Todd Rundgren fanatic is making things to sell on Etsy. Everybody wants to be an author now (no they don’t actually; reading has become an outcast activity) Regardless of how many examples I could make here, everybody around the world is making something, and they’re all putting it on the internet at the same time. Let’s Play Church Mouse

 I have retreated to Blogspot. The once thriving online platform is now a shadow of the past.  Let’s face it, blogging is dead in 2024. When I was contributing to a friend’s blogspot in 2013-2014, it was already on it’s last legs. But I enjoy the fact that it’s still here, even if it’s a relic of my adolescence.  I named this “blog”, if you can even call it that, Time Out (In The Corner) because my earliest memories of self-reflection are being in the corner at school for doing something bad. I never got the corner treatment at home, it was always either: Soap (that old school love) Hit with a random assortment of household items  Being grounded for 2 or 3 months at a time Not to say my mom wasn’t a great parent, because she was the best.
